Berry Compote

Overnight Oats:

1/2 cup gluten free oats

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup hemp seed milk*. You can use any other kind

pinch of cardammom

pinch of salt

Berry compote

2 ½ cup frozen or fresh berries

¼ cup orange juice

1 pinch of vanilla

1 pinch of ginger

1 pinch of salt 

1 tbs of date paste

1 tsp chia seeds

Overnight Oats

In a bowl combined all the ingredients; cover and leave in the fridge overnight. Is that simple!

Berry Compote

In a small saucepan bring all the ingredients to a boil, expect the date paste and chia seeds. Keep stirring until the strawberries are soft and easy to break with the back of the fork. Set aside and let cool. Once cold, add the chia seeds and date paste. Adjust to your desire sweetness. 

Layer it up

Start by adding 2-3 tablespoons of overnights oats to a glass jar, alternate with a couple tbs of compote, nuts, fresh fruut and repeat a couple times more depending on how big your jar is. Top with more fresh fruit, compote, nut butter or fresh nuts.
